Calm the Body, Calm the Mind

Yesterday I posted about the mind/body connection by addressing how gut problems can drive mental health issues. Continuing that theme, today I want to share how and why breathwork is so effective in processing anxiety, stress, and depression. I give every client information about the topic at the end of our first session so they can begin the practice. Most people think we have to calm the mind to calm the body but, as the article explains, the vagus nerve allows us to calm the mind through calming the body.
