“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” ― Viktor E. Frankl

After nearly 20 years in the legal profession as both a Big Law attorney and member of senior firm management, I decided to obtain an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling because what I enjoyed about my work most was counseling clients. Whether it was a battered woman seeking safety, corporate client posturing for litigation, or fellow partner facing malpractice claims, I have always enjoyed collaborating with people to cultivate the insight and tools necessary to solve problems and enhance their lives. Beyond the professional background and post graduate degrees, my personal experience as a woman who rose through the ranks of the legal profession while raising two sons also figures prominently into the perspective I offer to clients.

As a therapist, most of my clients are busy professionals who demand a great deal from themselves: No matter how hard they try, they often feel like something's not quite right. Their experience may include anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems, or substance abuse. Clients may also be coping with old wounds or relationship struggles that cause them to feel stuck. Unable to find peace, meaning, or connection in the present, they come to me for help in getting back on track. In light of my personal and professional background, clients know that my appreciation for their circumstances is not theoretical - it comes from hard-earned experience. More detailed about my practice is available here

As a public speaker and presenter, I combine my leadership experience and business acumen from Big Law with my mental health background to partner with bar associations, employers, law schools, and employee assistance programs to improve the well-being of attorneys and law students.
